The TDS Charitable Foundation and TDS is working in partnership with the MTVH Migration Foundation, British Red Cross, City Bridge Foundation and LandAid to test the first national approach to interest-free deposit loans to assist refugees in London and elsewhere achieve equal access to the private rented sector.

The project, the first of its kind at a national level, is set to run over the next three years. It seeks to transform the lives of refugees by improving access to rental deposits, move-in support, and information.

The TDS Charitable Foundation is funding the project’s educational programme aimed to inform refugee tenants about their rights and responsibilities in the private rented sector through appropriate materials and other resources. This funding will also support the development of publicity materials and outreach aimed at private rented sector landlords and letting agents to encourage their participation in the pilot.
